Ashley Stewart
Program Director
As Program Director, Ashley manages MindFit AE while also providing one-to-one individualized academic support to help students develop into independent learners.
Ashley aids in the planning of academic success through one-on-one meetings with students and assisting in the brainstorming, deciding, and execution of individualized service and structures. This individualized assistance includes support in goal setting, time management, organization, and learning strategies. Additionally, Ashley supervises and mentors a team of tutors and assists with tutor recruitment, selection, training, and evaluations. Ashley recently graduated from West Virginia University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in three disciplines: French, Chinese Studies, and International Studies. During her undergraduate years, Ashley had the opportunity to complete two summer study abroad exchange programs in China. She was first placed at Tianjin Foreign Language University in Tianjin, China. During her second summer term, Ashley attended Nanjing Medical University in Nanjing, China.
In a day and age where receiving a degree from higher education institutions is becoming the norm for many high school graduates, Ashley believes it’s essential to provide a support system to meet this increasing demand. A student’s journey through their undergraduate studies career can at times be challenging. However, with the firsthand interaction, guidance, and support of programs such as MindFit, Ashley believes that any and every student can not only succeed academically and personally in college, but transform into lifelong learners as well.
