Daniel G. Long II, Ph.D.
Office of Accessibility Services Director, MindFit Clinic Director & Testing Services Coordinator
Dr. Long is the director of the Office of Accessibility Services. Additionally, he's the program director and founder of the West Virginia University MindFit Clinic, which is geared specifically toward the assessment and treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and other learning-related issues.
Dr. Daniel Long is a clinical psychologist and board certified neurofeedback therapist who has been providing cognitive enhancement services since 2009. Dr. Long helped establish WVU as one of the very first universities in the nation to offer a comprehensive program that employs both cognitive training and neurofeedback for students with ADHD and other cognitive concerns. In addition, Dr. Long has had the opportunity to work with a variety of professional and collegiate athletes, including Olympic medalists and NCAA champions. He previously served as a consulting psychologist with the Nike Oregon Project and held a secondary appointment with WVU Athletics. Finally, Dr. Long is active in conducting research in the area of ADHD assessment and non-pharmacological treatment, and he currently serves as a consultant on a study examining multisensory deficits in Autism Spectrum Disorder. His role as consultant was to facilitate the identification of those participants who also exhibit symptoms of ADHD.
